There’s another factor in the fate of the Year in Colour Challenge that slowly drained my motivation, or rather, rerouted it in another, quite specific, direction… It started right around this time:
It was March, and the colour was Yellow. And I’m not sure what happened, I kindof just got… stuck? (Some might say obsessed) I was captivated by yellow, and yellow’s favourite companion: grey. It’s the Grellow. And it’s all I want to knit, and all I want in everything…
And my friends have begun to notice this, and they bring me grellow in everything…

(anniversary balloons from my friend Lisa)
Recently I’ve expanded the palette to include Ivory/Ecru to the lighter side and Navy Blue to the darker side…
Don’t worry, I promise to still stock yarn in as many *different* colours as possible… but you know which ones I’ll have my eye on.

I love that combo. I also love yellow & silver. Great nailpolish collection!
Ooh, the ivory and blue means you could knit one of those classic French sailor t-shirts (single row stripes, again?).
I’ve been thinking about ivory and navy blue stripes! I love nautical-themed anything. Maaaaybe not in sock-weight though…
Wonderful! I haven’t worn yellow since I was eight. But yesterday I bought a yellow purse and I feel so brave and happy.
Yellow is such a brave and happy colour! And especially adept at fighting the February doldrums.
