While I’m not quite able to wrap my head around the fact that November is almost over (what the hay?! where did this month go??), I can’t deny that downtown Peterborough is looking particularly festive these days as Christmas approaches, so I spruced up the store a bit with some decorations of my own…

more fabric feathers in white, grey, and gold…

and some cute wooden snowflakes hung from the window branch…

cedar boughs in the window, with handmade “pinecones” made with coffee beans! Between these and the tea cozies, I think there seems to be a warm beverage theme going on here…

leftover cedar bent circular to form a wreath…

bows and bells and snowflake lights behind my desk…

and the lamp-moose got a custom-knit sweater! A sneaky decoration from Chloe (it took me two days to notice!)

The Winter 2013 class schedule is now available, in store and online! (our holiday hours have also been posted!)

And the Holiday Shopping Passports have arrived! Get a stamp for every $10 you spend!
I was going to just leave this update at that, but then a whole big bunch of yarn arrived, so I guess I should let you know about that, too!

These are what I’m most excited about , new yarn from Aslan Trends: “Royal Alpaca”, a worsted-weight 100% alpaca yarn, and “King Baby Llama and Mulberry Silk”, worsted-weight 70% llama 30% silk blend. Both are deliciously soft and super warm, perfect for winter-time hats and mittens and cowls and scarves…

new colourways in Noro Kureyon!

the return of Malabrigo Rios! 100% superwash merino, hand-dyed and soooo squeezable…

And new colourways in the new chunky favourite, Debbie Bliss Riva, a semi-self-striping merino/acrylic blend…
PLUS new colourways in: Diamond Luxury chunky Alpaca, Malabrigo Gruesa, Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, Galway Worsted, Galway Highland Heathers, Diamond Luxury Mulberry Merino, and Malabrigo Sock! So much yarn! And less than a month ’til Christmas. Let those needles fly!
Oh there’s so many classes and yarns I want! Would you still be capping the dressform class at 6?
Thaaat is a very good question! I’ll ask Glenna and get back to you.
Lovely decorations, Bridget! Talk to you soon.
